Keynote SIGOS offers 3G Layer 3 tracing which is very important for telecommunication network testing. The primary goal is to get a deeper insight into the message flow and the protocol data exchanged between mobile station and network.
All information from Layer 3 traces are vital for such network quality monitoring and troubleshooting.
On most Qualcomm-based 3G probes traces of the Layer 3 NAS (Non-Access Stratum) signalling messages exchanged are recorded. Keynote SIGOS supplements the 3G Layer 3 NAS tracing with selectively recorded information from Radio Resource Control (RRC) signalling messages, employing appropriate protocol filtering techniques.
